SCHOOL BOARD ADOPTS S.E. BOUNDARY CHANGES, SETS TRANSFER RULES
Full Description:
Since the unanimous acceptance of the “Sellwood Neighborhood Plan” by the Portland School Board on October 23, which ended for now the threat of a school closure in Inner Southeast, neighbors have been waiting to hear specifics of the proposed school boundary changes.
At the end of November, the Board re-posted the resolution as passed, revised to include the school boundary street changes for Lewis, Duniway, and Llewellyn Schools. Portland Public Schools Communications Office spokesperson Sarah Carlin Ames (503/916-3212) told THE BEE on the first of December that she was still checking for maps to show the new boundaries; the latest information can be viewed at the Board’s Internet website: http://cms10.pps.k12.or.us/.docs/pg/1079 The written description in the resolution is provided later in this report.
